Supply Chain Associate
Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Türkiye is seeking a Supply Chain Associate in Gaziantep. This role operates under the guidance of the National Supply Chain Officer in Ankara and the direct supervision of the Senior Supply Chain Associate in Gaziantep, contributing to the efficient functioning of the organization's supply chain operations.
Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for managing and executing various procurement and logistics tasks to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. This role supports supervisors in complex purchases, prepares tender documents, monitors deliveries, processes payments, and maintains procurement records. The Associate also conducts market surveys, manages contractual agreements, provides guidance on procurement procedures, and performs essential supply chain functions related to asset management, warehousing, and fleet operations. Additionally, the role involves training junior staff and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the supply chain department.
Responsibilities
Receive and consolidate procurement requisitions, verifying completeness and adherence to policies. Assist supervisors with high-value purchases and prepare tender documents, solicit bids, and support bid evaluations. Confirm supplier agreements, prepare purchase orders, and coordinate necessary authorizations. Monitor open requisitions and ensure timely delivery of goods and services, obtaining delivery confirmations. Review vendor invoices, prepare payment requests, and coordinate timely payments with Finance. Maintain physical and electronic procurement records, retrieve information, and draft reports. Conduct market surveys to identify and evaluate potential suppliers. Track contractual agreements and inform relevant parties for renewal. Monitor office supplies and services, preparing requisitions and coordinating utility payments. Provide procurement-related guidance to office staff. Perform supply chain tasks for property, asset management, warehousing, insurance, maintenance, and transportation. Coordinate fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, logbook monitoring, and maintenance coordination. Train and guide junior Supply Chain Management staff, monitoring their development.
Work Experience
Required experience includes procurement and logistics, working with vendors and service providers, and managing asset processes. Experience with IOM/UN Procurement and Logistics Rules and Procedures, and working in an international organization, are considered advantageous.

High level of computer literacy. Ability to work with national and international institutions. Skill in preparing clear and concise reports. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to establish realistic resource requirements.
