Job Purpose

Responsibilities
The Protection Assistant (Caseworker) will support the PXD team in delivering assistance based on informed consent and humanitarian principles. Key duties include assisting in interviews with potential victims of trafficking and vulnerable migrants, conducted in a child-appropriate and gender-sensitive manner. The role involves assessing beneficiary needs, preparing regular case management reports, and ensuring accurate data entry for all assisted individuals. Additionally, the position will support the organization of events on victim identification and protection topics, and liaise with stakeholders to establish referral pathways for protection cases. The incumbent must adhere to the Do No Harm Framework, maintain strict confidentiality of beneficiary information, and report on activities efficiently.
Work Experience
Experience is required in key protection areas such as counter-trafficking, GBV, child protection, or general protection. Demonstrated experience in case management and referrals within these areas is essential. Excellent interpersonal, listening, writing, and communication skills are necessary. Experience with international organizations or NGOs is considered an advantage.
