Job Purpose
This ICT Intern role in Ankara supports the Senior Resource Management Officer and National ICT Officer by providing essential technical assistance and services to users within the IOM Ankara office and its field locations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in IT support, contributing to the smooth operation of the office's technological infrastructure. This position is designed to offer valuable learning opportunities for individuals pursuing studies or careers in Information Technology, aligning with IOM's broader objectives of facilitating migration and supporting those on the move.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite end-user support for IOM staff, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues via ticket system, email, or phone. Assist in the maintenance and setup of IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, and conference devices. Support the installation, configuration, and upgrading of operating systems (Windows 10/11) and software (MS Office, O365). Help manage IT asset assignments, transfers, and user account activities. Assist in maintaining records of IT equipment and access cards. Support the installation and administration of system and network security measures, including virus protection and access controls. Coordinate equipment servicing and relocation. Assist with the maintenance of the card reader access control system and generate attendance reports. Organize meeting rooms and coordinate IT assets with relevant units. Keep updated on the latest IT standards and technologies, reporting on progress and needs.
Work Experience
