Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Associate
Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM), established in 1951, is a UN agency promoting humane and orderly migration. This role, based in Dublin, Ireland, operates under the Chief of Mission and Head of Unit. The successful candidate will support the monitoring and evaluation needs for projects assisting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP's) in Ireland, contributing to the Mission's overall M&E framework.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage and execute the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) requirements for projects supporting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP's) in Ireland. The incumbent will ensure the effective implementation of project monitoring frameworks, contribute to project development, and support the generation of accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring project accountability, compliance with IOM institutional guidelines and donor requirements, and the overall success of IOM's mission in Ireland by providing essential data and insights for program improvement and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of project monitoring frameworks for initiatives assisting BOTP's in Ireland. The role involves ensuring project Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and development align with IOM's institutional guidelines and analyzing donor reporting requirements for accurate data collection. The incumbent will compile, summarize, and present information for team use and for internal/external reports. Drafting status reports to facilitate project implementation and supporting administrative project requirements through coordination with regional teams are also key duties. The position will assist the wider Mission with M&E needs and contribute to project development. Maintaining confidentiality, mitigating fraud, monitoring data integrity, and performing other assigned duties are also expected.
Work Experience
Proven experience in a similar role and setting is essential, demonstrating the ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality. Strong work ethic, adherence to procedures, and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a multicultural team environment are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. Prior experience within an international organization or NGO is advantageous.
Skills
Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools and protocols. Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills with a keen attention to detail.
