Job Purpose
The Senior MEAL Associate (AAP) will facilitate the development and implementation of the mission’s Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) plans. This role involves overseeing the complaints and feedback mechanism, conducting capacity-building activities, and performing monitoring visits to assess AAP process roll-out. The position is also responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and reporting on project-level monitoring, risk management, and learning activities. By producing high-quality monitoring evidence and supporting adaptive program management, the role ensures timely delivery of MEAL services and informs programming decisions with available data.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of an AAP plan and strategy, assessing current AAP practices, and strengthening feedback and complaint mechanisms. The role involves managing the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) Contact Centre and Case Management Platform, including a team of enumerators. It also entails coordinating with technical experts to support needs assessments and monitoring, conducting information and communication needs assessments, and promoting two-way communication with affected populations. The position will plan and organize AAP training, coordinate with PSEA focal points and other relevant areas, and document AAP good practices. Field monitoring, supervision of data collectors, and submission of regular reports on monitoring and evaluation activities are also required. The role will produce monthly and quarterly AAP reports to inform programming and ensure the timely delivery of MEAL services across assigned projects.
Work Experience
Requires at least four years of experience in monitoring and reporting in emergency conflict contexts using quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Experience with Microsoft Office and feedback collection software (e.g., Kobo, MS Forms) is necessary. Two years of experience in MEAL workstreams involving participatory feedback, community participation, and accountability is also required. Experience with an International Organization, UN agency, or NGO is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and feedback collection software. Experience with quantitative and qualitative methodologies for monitoring and reporting. Strong understanding of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) principles and mechanisms. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Ability to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments. Experience in community engagement and feedback management.
