Job Purpose
The Senior Project Associate (Livelihoods) supports the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) technical team, acting as a focal point for Environmental & Social Action Plan (ESAP) and Milestone Verification (MV) procedures. This role is crucial for implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the EDF framework. The position requires significant liaison with IOM field staff to address requests, resolve delays, and ensure the smooth execution of project activities. The incumbent will contribute to the overall effectiveness and quality of the EDF program by ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. The role involves compiling, analyzing, and presenting data on EDF quality assurance processes, and monitoring EDF implementation with recommendations for adjustments. The Senior Project Associate will act as a focal point for specific EDF quality assurance processes, liaising with internal and external parties. This includes drafting status reports, identifying shortfalls, and suggesting corrective measures. The position also entails drafting correspondence, preparing reports and documentation, organizing meetings and training sessions, and delivering capacity-building training on EDF quality assurance. Additionally, the role involves responding to information requests, maintaining records, monitoring staff compliance, contributing to SOP development, performing Investment Committee Visits for business selection, and supporting negotiations.
Work Experience
Required experience includes liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups is essential. Prior work experience within international humanitarian organizations, or non-government/government institutions in a multicultural setting is considered an advantage.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Strong editing, proofreading, organizational, and document management skills are essential. Experience maintaining databases, trackers, and filing systems, along with familiarity with SharePoint or similar platforms, is necessary. The role requires the ability to compile and consolidate information, support reporting and proposal development, maintain accurate records, and monitor information flows. Knowledge of standard administrative and program support procedures is also important.
