Job Purpose
The Senior Project Associate (Livelihoods) supports the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) technical team by serving as a focal point for Environmental & Social Action Plan’s (ESAP) and Milestone Verification (MV) procedures. This role is crucial for implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the EDF framework. The position requires extensive liaison with IOM field staff to address requests, resolve delays, and ensure the smooth execution of project activities. The incumbent will contribute to the overall effectiveness and quality of the EDF's implementation, directly impacting the support provided to migrants and displaced persons through livelihood initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring project activities. Compile, analyze, and present data on EDF quality assurance processes, highlighting key issues. Monitor EDF implementation and propose necessary adjustments. Serve as a focal point for EDF quality assurance processes (ESAP or MV), liaising with internal and external parties. Draft status reports, identify delivery shortfalls, and suggest corrective measures to supervisors. Prepare and update reports, graphics, and documentation related to EDF quality assurance. Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions, including delivering capacity-building training to IOM staff. Respond to information requests, maintain files, and monitor staff compliance. Provide input for SOP development and support new project conceptualization. Perform Investment Committee Visits for EDF business selection and support negotiation meetings.
Work Experience
Experience is required in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups is also necessary. Prior work experience within international humanitarian organizations, non-government, or government institutions in a multicultural setting is considered an advantage.
Skills
Strong editing and proofreading skills. Proficient organizational and document management abilities. Experience maintaining databases, trackers, and filing systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with SharePoint or similar document management platforms. Ability to compile and consolidate information from multiple sources. Experience supporting reporting and proposal development. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to maintain accurate records and monitor information flows. Knowledge of standard administrative and program support procedures.
