Job Purpose
This role supports IOM's mission by coordinating the Information Technology component for all IT operations within the Ankara Office and its sub-offices. The ICT Associate works under the supervision of the Senior Resource Management Officer and the National ICT Officer. The primary purpose is to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of IT systems and networks, providing essential support to staff and contributing to the overall operational effectiveness of IOM's migration-related activities in the region. This involves managing IT infrastructure, resolving technical issues, and implementing IT standards.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite end-user support, addressing user issues via ticket system, email, or phone. Assist in the installation, operation, and administration of network components, including Cisco Meraki devices. Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN systems. Install, configure, and upgrade desktop and laptop computers and software, adhering to IOM ICT standards. Support the installation and administration of system and network security measures, including virus protection and access controls. Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and network diagrams. Install and relocate hardware, coordinate equipment servicing, and manage the ICT stock room. Implement and manage centralized backup systems. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems promptly. Support the configuration of telecommunication systems, CCTV, and card reader access control systems. Provide technical support for mission-critical applications and assist in user training.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a networking environment (LAN/WAN). Experience with Windows Server software in a multi-site environment, TCP/IP, MS Office, Antivirus, Backup Server software, and IT utilities is required. Proficiency in problem-solving and handling technical challenges is essential. Foundational training in BSAFE and Information Security Awareness is mandatory.
