Job Purpose
This role supports the effective implementation, coordination, monitoring, and governance of IOM Tunisia's Regular Pathways portfolio. The incumbent will work closely with internal and external partners to contribute to programme planning and management, coordination mechanisms, results monitoring, reporting, and knowledge management. The purpose is to ensure fair, effective, and sustainable labour migration governance by facilitating skills mobility and strengthening the protection of migrant workers in North Africa, aligning interventions with human rights and international labour standards.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. This involves compiling and analyzing project data, monitoring budget implementation, and acting as a liaison for administrative coordination. The role requires drafting status reports, correspondence, and project documentation, as well as organizing meetings and workshops. Additionally, the incumbent will respond to information requests, maintain project files, and liaise with various stakeholders including local authorities, partners, and UN agencies. Monitoring implementing partners, providing input for SOPs and concept papers, and potentially supervising other staff are also part of the duties.
Work Experience
Required experience includes liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, and victims of trafficking is also necessary. Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations or in a multicultural setting is considered an advantage.
