Job Purpose
The Senior Audiovisual Communications Associate plays a crucial role in supporting IOM's communication strategies by ensuring brand compliance and producing high-quality audiovisual and graphic content. By creating compelling visual narratives, the incumbent helps to effectively communicate IOM's mission and impact, thereby strengthening its overall communication efforts and outreach to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
The role involves ensuring brand compliance and quality control for all audiovisual and graphic outputs, maintaining consistency in tone and style. Key duties include capturing photographs and video footage, editing videos for various platforms with added elements like subtitles and motion graphics, and supporting the creation of infographics and social media assets. The incumbent will operate photography and videography equipment, utilize industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite) for content production, and stay updated on multimedia trends. Collaboration with the communications team for creative input and timely delivery, along with providing technical support and training to staff, are also essential functions. Additional duties as assigned to support regional communications activities are expected.
Work Experience
Required experience includes photography, videography, and video editing for institutional communications, as well as producing infographics and graphic design outputs. Familiarity with social media platforms and content optimization for digital channels is essential. Experience within the UN or an NGO, particularly in the field of migration, is considered an asset.
Skills
Strong creative and technical skills in multimedia production. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is an asset.
