This consultancy role sits within the LMSI Unit of IOM Poland, contributing to the ROK project DP5693. The position focuses on coordinating labour market outreach activities in Warsaw to support migrants and refugees.

Job Purpose

This consultancy role is responsible for the development and implementation of labour market outreach activities in Warsaw, aligning with the ROK implementation plan. The primary objective is to facilitate the integration of unemployed, underqualified, or career-changing migrants and refugees into the local labour market. This involves fostering partnerships with the private sector, identifying employment opportunities, and providing support services to beneficiaries. The activities are scheduled from September 1st to December 31st, 2026, aiming to address specific needs within the target population and enhance their employability through tailored outreach and engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include identifying and cultivating partnerships with private sector actors to enhance beneficiary employability in the Mazovian Voivodeship. This involves updating and implementing IOM's private sector outreach strategy to align with IOM standards and facilitate decent employment for migrants and refugees. Tasks include conducting market research to map employers, establishing communication channels, and assessing employer needs for skills matching, upskilling, and reskilling. The role also involves co-designing job matching processes, verifying employment conditions, and providing beneficiaries with information on job opportunities and ethical recruitment practices. Additionally, the consultant will cooperate with the Warsaw Labour Office, support self-employment initiatives, and organize various employability-related events such as job fairs and workshops.

Work Experience

Extensive experience in liaising with the private sector and in outreach and networking activities targeting private sector entities is required. General knowledge of migration in Poland and the situation of migrants is necessary. Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, or vulnerable groups is advantageous, as is experience in HR processes.

Skills

Very good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, including professional negotiation. Familiarity with labour law, temporary work regulations, self-employment regulations, and foreigners' employment laws in Poland. Excellent knowledge of labour market dynamics, trends, and forecasts. Understanding of HR and recruitment procedures. Ability to provide clear information, strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and in multicultural teams. Professional computer literacy and strong work ethics.
