Job Purpose
The Senior Project Development and Reporting Associate supports the Chief of Mission and Head of Program and Field Operations in developing and implementing IOM's migration-related projects. This role involves close collaboration with regional and headquarters units to ensure projects align with IOM's frameworks and donor requirements. The associate will contribute to the conceptualization, planning, and execution of project activities, ensuring effective coordination and communication with internal and external stakeholders. The position is crucial for advancing IOM's mission by driving solutions to displacement and facilitating regular migration pathways, while also ensuring accurate and timely reporting on project progress and outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities, including the development of concept notes and proposals. Compile, analyze, and present project data, highlighting key issues for stakeholders. Monitor emerging trends and priorities in line with IOM frameworks and donor requirements. Serve as a focal point for administrative coordination of project development processes, liaising with internal units and external parties. Draft status reports, identify delivery shortfalls, and propose corrective actions. Prepare and update donor reports, correspondence, briefing notes, and other documentation. Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions, preparing materials and assisting in capacity-building delivery. Respond to information requests, maintain project files, and support the monitoring of funding opportunities. Liaise with local authorities, partners, UN agencies, and other stakeholders. Provide input for Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and concept papers, supporting new project development. Guide and coordinate other staff members, potentially supervising assigned personnel.
Work Experience
Experience liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, and victims of trafficking. Prior experience in a multicultural setting with international humanitarian organizations is advantageous. Experience in drafting result-based concept notes and project proposals, and contributing to narrative and financial donor reports is required. Experience supporting donor reporting processes and project cycle management is also necessary.

Ability to work accurately under pressure with good judgment and initiative. Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, drive for results, and creative thinking. Good computer literacy, including database applications. Fluency in Spanish is mandatory; English is a plus.
