The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Haiti seeks a Web Content Developer to assist with the development of its new website. This role operates under the Programme Support Unit, reporting to the Media and Communication Officer, and collaborates with national, regional, and headquarters communications teams.
Job Purpose
The Web Content Developer will play a crucial role in the successful launch and migration of the IOM Haiti website to a new platform. This involves developing and structuring website content, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, and coordinating with various internal teams and the Online Communication Unit. The objective is to create a functional, compliant, and informative website that effectively communicates IOM's mission and activities in Haiti, facilitating a smooth transition to the new digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supporting the update process for the IOM Haiti website by completing required documentation and adhering to Online Communication Unit (OCU) requirements. The role involves developing the website's structure and content map, ensuring it aligns with organizational standards. Drafting and editing website content in collaboration with technical teams and relevant units is essential. The developer will track and organize documentation for content migration, select photos and videos, and coordinate with a graphic designer for visual elements like banners. Finally, supporting validation processes with local, regional, and global teams is a key duty.
Work Experience
Required experience includes developing content for digital channels, excellent multimedia content drafting and editing skills, and proficiency in online communication and social media. Experience in demanding environments, managing priorities, and working under pressure with strict deadlines is also necessary. Strong interpersonal skills and familiarity with international agencies like the UN are advantageous.
