Job Purpose
The Case Manager (Social Inclusion & Integration) provides essential case management support to enhance the socio-economic inclusion of migrants. This involves a specific focus on facilitating access to labour markets, educational opportunities, and fostering community engagement. The role is crucial for ensuring migrants can integrate effectively and benefit from available resources and pathways. By offering tailored support, the Case Manager contributes directly to IOM's mission of promoting orderly migration and supporting individuals on the move. This position operates under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Associate (Social Inclusion & Integration), ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational standards for migrant assistance.
Responsibilities
Provide timely and culturally appropriate information and referral services to migrants, facilitating their access to available support and services. Assist migrants in accessing job opportunities, vocational training, and career counseling, while also guiding them on fair labor practices and safe working conditions. Support migrants in their educational enrollment and skills development initiatives. Organize community integration activities and awareness sessions, and build networks with community leaders, employers, and service providers. Conduct individual case management for vulnerable migrants, including risk assessments and developing support plans, to foster socio-economic inclusion. Maintain accurate case files, ensure data protection compliance, and support reporting and knowledge-sharing on integration trends and challenges.
Work Experience
Required experience includes work in labour market integration, community engagement, or educational support for migrants. This experience is essential for effectively assisting individuals in their integration process.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills. Experience working with migrant communities. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
