Job Purpose
The Senior Project Development and Reporting Associate will independently lead and coordinate project implementation, monitoring activities, and analyzing challenges to ensure alignment with established plans and evolving field conditions. This role involves researching, compiling, and presenting data on migration-related developments, and overseeing budget expenditures in accordance with IOM policies and donor requirements. The position also entails coordinating financial, administrative, and technical project aspects, planning and conducting capacity-building initiatives, and maintaining effective liaison with diverse stakeholders. A key function is to ensure timely preparation and submission of correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, and narrative/financial reports, while also identifying best practices and contributing to the development of new project concepts.
Responsibilities
Independently lead and coordinate project implementation, monitoring activities, and analyzing challenges to adapt to field conditions. Research, compile, and present data on national, regional, and international migration developments. Monitor budget expenditures and ensure compliance with IOM policies and donor requirements. Coordinate financial, administrative, and technical project aspects. Plan and conduct capacity-building activities. Maintain liaison with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and other stakeholders. Coordinate the preparation of correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, and narrative/financial reports, ensuring timely submission. Identify and document best practices and lessons learned to support new project development. Supervise and train reporting staff. Perform other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Experience is required in liaising with governmental authorities, international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, and internally displaced persons is necessary. Prior experience in a multicultural setting with international humanitarian organizations or government institutions is advantageous. Experience in drafting project proposals and contributing to narrative and financial reports for donors is also beneficial.
