Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include daily monitoring of service providers to ensure contractual compliance and beneficiary needs are met. The role involves close cooperation with medical and psychosocial teams, escalating challenges as needed. The Social Worker must adhere to IOM's internal rules and Standard Operating Procedures. Duties include conducting vulnerability assessments, addressing protection needs, and referring cases to specialized agencies. Managing case files, updating databases, and informing beneficiaries of case progress are essential. The position also requires mapping services, developing individual action plans, participating in team meetings to discuss case management, and escorting beneficiaries to facilities when requested.
Work Experience
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with providing direct assistance to migrants and/or refugees is advantageous. Experience working within a multi-cultural environment is also beneficial for this position.
Skills
Proficiency in standard software applications, including MS Office, is required. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
