Organizational Context

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), established in 1951, is a leading UN agency promoting humane and orderly migration. It works with partners to save lives, protect people on the move, and facilitate pathways for regular migration. This role contributes to the Programs department, focusing on supporting migrants' integration.

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for providing comprehensive case management and integration support to migrants. The purpose is to assess individual needs, develop tailored integration plans, and coordinate referrals to essential services including housing, healthcare, education, language training, and employment. By facilitating access to these resources, the role aims to support migrants' social and economic inclusion and successful integration into their new communities. The position contributes to IOM's mission of promoting humane and orderly migration and supporting people on the move.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include providing individualized case management, conducting needs assessments, and developing integration plans for migrants. This involves facilitating access to essential services such as housing, healthcare, education, and employment support through referrals and coordination with service providers. The role requires assisting clients with job readiness, including CV development and interview preparation. Maintaining accurate, confidential case records, preparing reports, and advocating for clients are also crucial. Additionally, the position involves delivering orientation sessions, managing client data securely, building relationships with local partners, and collaborating with colleagues across different sectors to ensure a holistic approach to client support.

Work Experience

Required experience includes liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups is essential. Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations or government institutions in a multicultural setting is considered an advantage.
