Organizational Context

Job Purpose
This Outreach Associate position supports IOM's project assisting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP's) in Ireland. The role is crucial for delivering essential services within Designated Accommodation settings across the country. The primary focus is on providing orientation sessions, disseminating vital information, and offering one-to-one assistance to BOTP's, ensuring they receive accurate and timely support. The position contributes to IOM's mandate of facilitating orderly migration and supporting vulnerable populations by addressing their immediate needs and integration pathways.
Responsibilities
Key duties include assisting in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, retrieving, compiling, and analyzing project data, and supporting the Outreach and Information Provision strategy. The role involves delivering information sessions to BOTP's in accommodation settings, coordinating schedules with focal points, and disseminating essential information. Responsibilities also include identifying and referring vulnerable cases, providing translation/interpretation as needed, and drafting status reports and correspondence. The Associate will prepare documentation, respond to information requests, organize meetings, and participate in relevant coordination activities with local authorities, partners, and other stakeholders. Monitoring implementing partners and providing guidance to junior staff are also part of the role.
Work Experience
Required experience includes disseminating information to large audiences in diverse settings and working with vulnerable groups such as migrants and refugees. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Prior experience with international humanitarian organizations or in a multicultural setting is advantageous.
Skills
In-depth knowledge of migration-related subject areas. Strong presentation and clear communication skills. A full, clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle are required.
