The Senior Project Associate (Institutional Donor Engagement) role supports IOM Netherlands' engagement with institutional donors, focusing on donor relations, resource mobilization, and stewardship. Job Purpose
The Senior Project Associate (Institutional Donor Engagement) serves as the primary focal point for IOM Netherlands' interactions with institutional donors. This role is crucial for supporting and enhancing donor relations, driving resource mobilization efforts, and ensuring effective donor stewardship. By coordinating engagement activities, managing donor intelligence, and maintaining institutional memory, the position directly contributes to the implementation of the Mission's fundraising strategy. The role ensures continuity, coordination, and alignment with IOM's global fundraising frameworks, working closely with national, regional, and headquarters entities to identify and pursue funding opportunities, thereby strengthening IOM's capacity to support people on the move.
Responsibilities
Serve as the focal point for institutional donor engagement for IOM Netherlands, coordinating closely with the Chief of Mission and ERCOM Unit. Act as the national COMPASS focal point, supporting donor coordination, briefings, reporting, and visibility. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Mission’s fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. Coordinate the preparation and organization of donor meetings, briefings, and visits, including developing agendas, briefing notes, and follow-up actions. Function as the GRMN focal point for IOM Netherlands, ensuring alignment with corporate resource mobilization processes and reporting. Manage the CRM system as the focal point, ensuring accurate donor data entry, tracking, and maintenance of institutional memory. Provide input for donor updates, briefing notes, concept notes, and tailored engagement materials. Collaborate with SRO Brussels, RO Vienna, and Headquarters on donor engagement, funding opportunities, and reporting. Monitor institutional donor priorities, funding trends, and relevant risks for IOM Netherlands. Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting of all donor engagement activities and contacts.
Work Experience
Requires experience in donor relations, fundraising, external relations, or institutional partnerships. Experience in coordinating donor engagement, reporting, or resource mobilization processes is advantageous. Previous experience within an international organization, UN agency, or governmental context is beneficial.
Skills
Strong drafting, coordination, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple donor relationships and information flows. Familiarity with CRM systems and structured donor tracking is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
