Job Purpose
The Case Management Specialist supports the Social Inclusion and Integration Unit by implementing high-quality, client-centered case management services for migrants. This role focuses on enhancing socio-economic inclusion, particularly in labor market access, education, social integration, and community engagement. The specialist supervises Case Managers, ensuring adherence to standards and protection principles, and leads the development of case management workflows, referral pathways, and operational tools. The position also oversees data management, quality assurance, and fosters cooperation with external service providers to improve beneficiary access to services and opportunities, contributing to evidence-based programming and continuous improvement of interventions.
Responsibilities
The Case Management Specialist is responsible for leading and supervising Case Managers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery. This includes conducting case consultations and performance reviews. The role involves developing, reviewing, and improving case management workflows, SOPs, and tools, ensuring harmonized implementation of standards. Additionally, the specialist develops and maintains referral pathways, coordinates with external service providers and stakeholders, and represents IOM in relevant meetings. Data management, including accurate collection, storage, analysis, and reporting from case management databases, is crucial for monitoring quality and identifying gaps. The incumbent conducts quality assurance reviews, monitors performance, and supports programme development and reporting. A key aspect is ensuring all activities adhere to IOM's protection principles, safeguarding standards, AAP, PSEA, and data protection requirements. The role also includes developing and delivering training and capacity-building activities for staff.
Work Experience
Required experience includes demonstrated expertise in case management, social inclusion, protection, migration, or social work. The role requires experience in supervising case management teams, developing workflows and SOPs, and establishing referral pathways. Experience in data management, quality assurance, capacity building, and coordinating with diverse stakeholders is also essential. Experience in designing or supporting social inclusion and integration programs is advantageous.
