Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to develop a comprehensive, modular, and interactive training package for the private sector on the remediation of migrant worker grievances. This package will translate IOM's Operational Guidelines and Handbook for Businesses into practical learning modules. It aims to equip private sector professionals, including HR, compliance, and supply chain personnel, with the knowledge and tools to understand, assess, and strengthen remediation systems within their organizations. The training will be designed using adult learning methodologies to ensure practical application and effective uptake of IOM's resources, ultimately fostering better practices in migrant worker rights and grievance mechanisms.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for reviewing and mapping existing learning resources on migrant worker grievance remediation, both internally within IOM and externally. Based on this assessment, the consultant will develop a complete training package. This package must incorporate adult learning methodologies, practical exercises, case studies, and supporting facilitator resources. Additionally, the consultant will create knowledge assessment tools to measure learning outcomes. The training materials should be professionally developed, logically structured, user-friendly, and suitable for both in-person and virtual delivery. The consultant will also be expected to incorporate feedback from IOM and stakeholders into revised drafts and ensure all deliverables are completed within the agreed timelines.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required. This includes demonstrated expertise in business and human rights, labour standards, responsible recruitment, migrant worker rights, or remediation mechanisms. Proven experience in designing adult learning curricula and training packages for private sector audiences is essential.
