Senior Mental Health And Psychosocial Support (mhpss) Associate
Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ukraine seeks a Senior MHPSS Associate. This role, reporting to the Programme Officer (MHPSS), supports the MHPSS Unit in capacity building, reporting, partner coordination, and activity implementation. The position also contributes to liaison with authorities, programme development, and the Disability Inclusion portfolio.
Job Purpose
The Senior MHPSS Associate is responsible for supporting the MHPSS Unit's capacity-strengthening initiatives, reporting processes, partner coordination, and the overall implementation of MHPSS activities. This includes liaising with partners and relevant authorities, ensuring effective programme implementation, and maintaining accurate reporting and documentation. The role also involves assisting in research and evidence-generation activities, contributing to programme development, and supporting the Disability Inclusion portfolio to enhance psychosocial well-being and integration within humanitarian and development efforts.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation of MHPSS programme activities, adapting materials to international standards. Coordinate with government counterparts, partners, and MHPSS structures to enhance collaboration and service delivery. Assist in planning and delivering capacity-building activities, including logistics and material preparation. Contribute to MHPSS research, assessments, and evidence generation through data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Support the development of programme documents, concept notes, and proposals by compiling information and drafting inputs. Facilitate monitoring, learning, and documentation processes by identifying lessons learned and best practices. Assist in preparing, reviewing, and consolidating reports and programme documentation for quality assurance. Support disability inclusion activities, including assessments, capacity building, and awareness-raising events. Perform other assigned duties as required.
Work Experience
Experience in supporting MHPSS programme implementation and administration in humanitarian or development settings. Experience with assessments, research, data collection, and analysis. Proven ability to coordinate with government, NGOs, and community stakeholders. Experience in disability inclusion programmes is highly desirable. Previous work with international organizations is an advantage.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and coordination abilities. Proficiency in drafting reports and programme documentation. Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
