Job Purpose
The Senior Programme Associate (Return and Reintegration) plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation and management of IOM Iraq's return and reintegration programs. This position is vital for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of services to migrants, including vulnerable individuals and communities, facilitating safe and dignified returns and promoting sustainable reintegration. The role contributes to IOM's broader objectives of managing migration humanely, promoting international cooperation on migration issues, and assisting in the implementation of comprehensive responses to the complex challenges of migration.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include providing technical and programmatic support for the design, implementation, and monitoring of return and reintegration activities. This involves coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and beneficiaries to ensure program objectives are met. The role requires managing project activities, tracking progress, and preparing regular reports on program performance and challenges. Additionally, the Senior Programme Associate will contribute to needs assessments, develop project proposals, and ensure adherence to IOM standards and donor requirements. This includes fostering partnerships with local authorities and civil society organizations to enhance program impact and sustainability.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in program management, implementation, and monitoring, preferably within the humanitarian or development sector. Experience working on migration, return, and reintegration issues is highly desirable. Proven experience in coordinating with diverse stakeholders and managing project budgets is essential.
