Job Purpose
The Case Management Associate (CTIP) supports the IOM Mission in Uzbekistan by assisting in the implementation of return and reintegration programs for vulnerable migrants, with a primary focus on survivors of trafficking. This role is crucial for the project 'Strengthening Survivor-Centred Protection and Prevention of Trafficking in Persons in Uzbekistan,' funded by SIDA. The associate will manage protection-related cases, including Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) and Survivors of Trafficking (SOT) projects. The position operates under the direct supervision of the National Project Officer on Protection and contributes to ensuring comprehensive support and reintegration services for beneficiaries, coordinating with various IOM missions and external partners to achieve project objectives and uphold IOM's mandate in migration management and protection.
Responsibilities
The Case Management Associate (CTIP) will maintain communication with IOM missions and stakeholders regarding case management, including documentation and follow-up for trafficking, return, and reintegration cases. Responsibilities include managing beneficiary case files, conducting interviews, accurately recording data in databases, and preparing necessary documentation. The role involves providing information support to sending missions, identifying protection concerns, and referring cases as needed. The associate will offer pre-departure and arrival guidance, assist with reintegration components like business plan preparation and vendor liaison, and support shelter arrangements. Key duties also include timely data entry into MIMOSA, collecting data on assistance provided, and assisting with Monitoring and Evaluation activities. Reporting on case management status, supporting awareness-raising and outreach activities, and liaising with national and non-government entities are also essential functions, alongside participating in office meetings and undertaking other assigned tasks.
Work Experience
Experience working with vulnerable individuals is desirable. Knowledge of general migration trends and processes in Uzbekistan is an asset. Experience in liaising with UN agencies, international organizations, government bodies, and NGOs is beneficial. Experience supporting project implementation and knowledge of monitoring and evaluation are also desirable.
Skills
Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills. Competence in data collection, basic analysis, reporting, and writing. Familiarity with migration-related subjects handled by IOM is advantageous. Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming is a plus.
