Job Purpose
The National Partnership and Resource Mobilization Officer supports the Regional Office’s Resource Mobilization Unit in implementing and coordinating partnership and resource mobilization activities. The role is crucial for enhancing regional partnerships and donor engagement by identifying funding opportunities, tracking donor priorities, supporting strategic outreach, and improving the visibility and reporting of IOM's work. This position also facilitates knowledge management and internal coordination to bolster resource mobilization across country offices in the region, ensuring effective support to people on the move and driving solutions to displacement.
Responsibilities
Key duties include maintaining and coordinating relationships with diverse resource partners such as bilateral donors, foundations, and the private sector. The role involves preparing essential briefing materials, presentations, and donor profiles for engagements. Responsibilities extend to tracking donor inquiries, managing a regional engagement calendar, and contributing to high-quality donor proposals and concept notes by coordinating inputs from various teams. The officer will assist in reviewing proposals and reports for accuracy and compliance, and support the development of templates and tools to ensure consistency in resource mobilization products. Additionally, the role requires updating and managing databases, conducting research on donor trends, monitoring funding pipelines, and preparing analytical briefs for management. The officer will also contribute to donor visibility products, coordinate communications efforts, and support the planning and documentation of events and meetings, while maintaining organized digital filing systems.
Work Experience
Required experience includes migration-related programming (operational, field, project development/implementation), supporting partnerships, resource mobilization, donor engagement, fundraising, and proposal development. Experience liaising with donors, international organizations, private sector, and civil society is essential. Experience in tracking funding opportunities and preparing donor materials is also necessary. Work experience in the region is considered an asset.
Skills
Strong writing and analytical skills, knowledge of donor reporting standards and proposal development. Understanding of partnerships, donor engagement, project cycle management, and results-based reporting. Ability to analyze information for evidence-based decision-making.
