Job Purpose

Responsibilities
The Senior Driver is responsible for operating assigned vehicles for senior officials and managing the transportation schedules of other drivers. Key duties include performing daily vehicle maintenance checks, arranging for minor repairs, and ensuring vehicles are kept clean and serviced regularly. The role involves maintaining records of spare parts, conducting inventory, and identifying the safest and most efficient routes. The Senior Driver must ensure vehicles are used solely for official purposes, meticulously prepare daily log sheets, and compile monthly reports on mileage and fuel consumption. Confidentiality and security awareness are paramount, requiring the driver to mitigate potential threats. Additional responsibilities include meeting officials at airports, facilitating customs and immigration, collecting and delivering mail and documents, and assisting with simple clerical tasks when needed. The Senior Driver will also brief and train other drivers.
Work Experience
The role requires knowledge of driving rules and regulations, and experience driving various makes and models of vehicles. Proficiency in performing minor vehicle repairs and familiarity with communication tools such as radio, email, and telephone applications are also necessary.
