The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Recruitment and Social Media Assistant to support recruitment activities. This role operates under the Head of Recruitment and the National Human Resource Officer, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Job Purpose
The Recruitment and Social Media Assistant is responsible for ensuring compliance and executing recruitment activities within their designated area. This involves close coordination with hiring managers, selection panels, HR focal points, and candidates to ensure the timely filling of positions. The role emphasizes adherence to established policies and procedures, promoting transparency and fairness throughout the recruitment lifecycle. A key aspect is fostering a positive stakeholder experience by effectively managing communication and processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the IOM's human resources operations. The position also supports talent acquisition initiatives and process improvements.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for recruitment and selection processes, managing job advertising requests and ensuring position descriptions align with IOM standards. Assist in screening applications based on defined criteria and advise hiring managers on assessment methods. Review candidate eligibility and qualifications, ensuring diversity and fairness in shortlisting. Collaborate with selection panels to draft interview questions, schedule interviews, and support reference checks. Draft and review selection recommendations for various recruitment types and coordinate approval submissions. Contribute to talent community building and pipeline development. Liaise with HR Administration for timely mobilization formalities and track offer statuses. Address recruitment process issues, providing guidance to facilitate timely hiring. Respond to recruitment inquiries and maintain accurate recruitment records and reports. Participate in sourcing and attraction efforts, identify areas for process improvement, and contribute to training initiatives. Act as a backup for the National Human Resource Officer and other Recruitment Assistants as needed.
Work Experience
Experience in processing human resources transactions and familiarity with talent acquisition and management concepts are essential. Experience utilizing social media for recruitment purposes is required. Supporting recruitment in humanitarian or non-profit organizations is desirable, as is experience with HR statistics and working in multicultural settings.
Skills
Proficiency in IOM/UN personnel and financial policies is advantageous. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate results. Strong client orientation and ability to build trust with stakeholders. Proven capacity for managing challenging client interactions with a focus on results. High level of computer literacy, including experience with HR IT systems and applications.
