Job Purpose
This role supports IOM Italy's activities within the AMIF 2021-2027 programme, managed by the Italian Ministry of Interior. The primary focus is on the RI.VOL.A.RE. in RE.TE project, assisting third-country nationals residing in Italy who wish to return to their countries of origin with socio-economic reintegration. Additionally, the role supports the F.A.S.T.E.R. project, which aims to strengthen the national Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) system through an innovative counselling service across Italy. The purpose is to ensure compliance and effective implementation of these migration management initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Consultant will evaluate and certify compliance with IOM standard regulations and procedures for service and supply procurement processes undertaken by IOM Italy, adhering to AMIF 2021-2027 Eligibility and Reporting rules. Responsibilities also include evaluating and certifying the compliance of procurement procedures by project partners, ANCI and Cittalia, according to the AMIF 2021-2027 Manual and Grant Agreement. Specific reporting duties include submitting interim reports for the F.A.S.T.E.R. project by October 2026 and May 2027, and for the RI.VOL.A.RE. in RE.TE project by October 2026 (interim) and August 2027 (final). Performance indicators involve producing certificate opinions for IOM payment requests.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of working experience as a qualified lawyer is required.
