The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Hungary is implementing the REACHMIND project, funded by the EU CERV Programme. This project focuses on improving the mental health and well-being of refugee, migrant, and minority children. The role contributes to Work Package 4, responsible for disseminating project findings through a policy brief and a transnational webinar.
Job Purpose
This consultancy supports IOM Hungary's REACHMIND project by coordinating the development of a policy brief and organizing a transnational webinar. The role is crucial for disseminating project findings and recommendations to national and European stakeholders, aiming to strengthen awareness and policy uptake on the mental health of refugee, migrant, and minority children. The consultant will provide expertise in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, drafting, and dissemination, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of Work Package 4 outputs. This contributes to the project's objective of promoting evidence-based approaches to child mental health and well-being.
Responsibilities
The consultant will review and analyze REACHMIND project outputs, including needs assessments and feedback, to develop a policy narrative and draft a policy brief with evidence-based recommendations. This involves consolidating inputs from consortium partners, ensuring coherence and policy relevance. Additionally, the consultant will define the webinar's objectives, target audience, and key messages, developing its concept note, agenda, and format. They will prepare supporting materials, lead and facilitate the webinar, and produce a post-webinar summary. All deliverables must align with the project's dissemination goals and be completed within the agreed timeline.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in policy analysis and drafting, and in developing policy briefs or analytical reports. Demonstrated experience in translating research into policy recommendations and working on EU-funded or multi-country projects is essential. Proven experience in designing and facilitating webinars or similar stakeholder events, and presenting to diverse audiences, is also necessary.
