Job Purpose
The Senior IM Associate CCCM will play a crucial role in supporting IOM's information management efforts within the Temporary Shelters and Infrastructure Technical Working Group. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of data related to collective sites, displacement, and CCCM activities. This involves data assurance, report generation, dashboard creation, and coordination with various stakeholders. By providing reliable information products, the associate will contribute to effective decision-making, resource allocation, and the overall success of IOM's humanitarian response and migration management objectives in Venezuela.
Responsibilities
The Senior IM Associate CCCM is responsible for supporting the collection, consolidation, validation, and management of information related to collective sites, site assessments, displacement trends, and CCCM activities. This includes reviewing and cleaning datasets to ensure data quality, consistency, and completeness. The role involves producing and updating information products such as dashboards, factsheets, maps, and situation reports, and compiling/analyzing data on site populations, needs, and movements. The associate will also assist in developing data collection tools and standard operating procedures, and coordinate with DTM, IM, GIS, and program teams for data interoperability. Representation in inter-agency coordination meetings, quality assurance of information products, and maintaining organized records are key duties. Additionally, the role involves building relationships with partners, supporting negotiations on data standards, and acting as an information management focal point when needed.
Work Experience
Required experience includes humanitarian information management, data analysis, reporting, and managing/validating datasets. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced) is essential. Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS), and data collection platforms (Kobo Toolbox, ODK, Survey123) is desirable. Demonstrated experience in inter-agency coordination, negotiation, and representation in humanitarian settings is also required.
Skills
Key skills include advanced Microsoft Excel, data validation and quality assurance, data analysis and reporting. Desirable skills encompass Power BI, ArcGIS/QGIS, and Kobo Toolbox. Strong analytical writing, attention to detail, excellent organizational and coordination abilities, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, diplomacy, and representation skills are crucial. Proficiency in interpersonal and public speaking, with the ability to present information effectively, and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines are also essential.
