Job Purpose

Responsibilities
The Field Assistant DTM will support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of DTM field activities, including rapid assessments and mobility tracking. This involves organizing data collection, liaising with local authorities and community focal points to facilitate access, and supporting enumerators during data collection. The role includes contributing to the refinement of data collection tools, verifying collected information, and providing regular updates on field progress, challenges, and observations. Responsibilities also encompass maintaining organized records, preparing field summaries and operational updates, and undertaking duty travel as required to support DTM operations.
Work Experience
Experience is required in supporting field operations, data collection, assessments, community engagement, or information management within humanitarian, emergency, or development contexts. Experience with DTM activities, rapid assessments, mobility tracking, or similar data collection exercises is advantageous, as is experience supporting field teams, local authorities, or partner organizations.
Skills
Key skills include the ability to organize field activities, communicate effectively with teams, and report progress and challenges promptly. A basic understanding of DTM, humanitarian assessments, data collection methods, and data confidentiality is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is required, with knowledge of mobile data collection tools being an advantage.
