Job Purpose

The Senior Information Management Associate DTM will provide technical leadership to ensure the timely, coherent, and high-quality delivery of information management outputs. This includes organizing team workflows, guiding field teams and enumerators, coordinating with relevant units and partners, and assuring the quality of datasets and information products. The role is crucial for supporting evidence-based decision-making by IOM, national authorities, UN agencies, humanitarian partners, and other stakeholders. The position ensures that Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) and Information Management (IM) outputs are accurate, operationally relevant, and aligned with IOM standards, contributing to effective responses and strategies.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate information management activities for emergency responses, including assessments and tracking. Plan, organize, and supervise the development and implementation of data collection tools, databases, and workflows, ensuring alignment with IOM and DTM requirements. Supervise and provide technical guidance to field teams and colleagues on data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and reporting. Oversee quality assurance processes for data and information products, ensuring accuracy and methodological soundness. Compile and analyze information on affected populations, displacement, and needs. Prepare and review various information products like dashboards, maps, and situation updates. Coordinate information flows among teams, units, partners, and authorities for timely dissemination. Represent the IM/DTM function in coordination meetings and provide inputs for briefings. Maintain organized and secure datasets and tools, adhering to data protection standards. Identify information gaps and suggest follow-up assessments or analyses.

Work Experience

Experience leading or coordinating information management, reporting, assessment support, monitoring, evaluation, or data analysis in humanitarian, emergency, or development contexts. Experience supervising, training, or guiding teams involved in data collection and management is required. Experience preparing reports, dashboards, and maps is essential. Experience liaising with diverse stakeholders in multicultural settings is advantageous.

Skills

Strong leadership, organization, and coordination skills for managing teams and workflows under pressure. Good understanding of DTM, humanitarian assessments, information management, and responsible data use. Ability to guide data collection, cleaning, validation, analysis, visualization, and reporting processes with quality control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Knowledge of Power BI, Kobo/ODK, or GIS tools is advantageous.
