Senior Project Associate - Labour Mobility And Social Inclusion (LMI)
Organizational Context
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand's Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMI) Unit implements the Migration, Business and Human Rights (MBHR) Programme. This role supports a data-driven initiative to strengthen human rights due diligence and address risks related to forced labour and migrant worker vulnerability within global supply chains, aligning with UNGPs and the 2030 Agenda.
Job Purpose
The Senior Project Associate - Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMI) will support the coordination, implementation, and delivery of project activities within IOM Thailand's MBHR Programme. This role is crucial for advancing responsible business practices and protecting migrant workers by contributing to a data-driven initiative focused on human rights due diligence. The associate will ensure effective integration across workstreams, facilitate stakeholder engagement, contribute to knowledge generation, and support overall project operations, aiming to improve the identification and mitigation of risks associated with forced labour and migrant vulnerability in supply chains.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily project activities, maintaining workplans, timelines, and task trackers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs. Manage and verify the stakeholder database and outreach tracker, ensuring accurate reporting and coordinated engagement. Facilitate project events such as webinars and workshops by managing schedules, participant coordination, and logistical arrangements. Assist in preparing meeting agendas, background materials, and summaries, documenting key decisions and action points. Support stakeholder engagement through coordinated outreach communications and consistent partner communication. Compile and verify inputs for progress reports, presentations, and briefing materials, maintaining organized project documentation and engagement records. Consolidate research, mapping, and consultation inputs to support project outputs and operational decision-making. Assist in preparing and maintaining project presentations, newsletters, and other communication resources. Monitor project deliverables, milestones, and engagement indicators to support timely reporting and operational follow-up. Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Required experience includes project coordination and implementation within a multi-stakeholder environment, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, or partnership support. Experience in research, data collection, or analytical support is advantageous. Experience within international organizations or UN agencies is also considered an advantage.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently. Strong drafting, note-taking, and synthesis skills. Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-cultural teams. Familiarity with human rights due diligence, labour migration, or responsible business practices is desirable.
