Job Purpose
The Senior Project Associate (Monitoring and Evaluation) will independently lead and coordinate project implementation, ensuring activities align with established plans and adapting to field realities. This role involves monitoring budget expenditures, coordinating financial, administrative, and technical aspects, and liaising with various stakeholders. The position also requires planning and conducting capacity-building workshops, preparing reports, and identifying best practices and lessons learned to inform future project development. The role contributes to the effective management and delivery of IOM's migration-related projects.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate project implementation, monitoring progress against plans and recommending adjustments. Research, compile, and analyze data on national, regional, and international developments relevant to migration. Oversee budget expenditures and ensure compliance with IOM policies and donor requirements. Coordinate financial, administrative, and technical project aspects. Plan and conduct capacity-building workshops for internal and external parties. Maintain liaison with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and other stakeholders. Prepare correspondence, briefing notes, presentations, and narrative/financial reports, ensuring timely submission. Document good practices and lessons learned to support SOP development. Supervise and train reporting staff. Perform other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Required experience includes liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups is essential. Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations or in a multi-cultural setting is advantageous.
