Job Purpose

The Digital Innovation Support Associate will support the design, testing, coordination, and operationalization of digital and innovation-focused initiatives within the IOM Tajikistan Country Office. This role contributes to integrating innovative digital tools and approaches into programme design, implementation, reporting, and knowledge management, with a focus on migration programming. The position will support the development of digital products like AI-enabled chatbots and fraud detection tools, and enhance internal systems for reporting and workflow efficiency through digital solutions. The incumbent will ensure digital innovation initiatives are practical, user-oriented, and aligned with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include assisting in the design and development of AI-enabled chatbots and online fraud detection tools for projects focused on preventing online recruitment fraud and enhancing safe migration. The role involves supporting the assessment and implementation of AI-based products for migration management and border intelligence, and providing technical assistance for integrating digital innovation into project development. The Associate will contribute to innovative programme reporting and knowledge sharing through data visualization and digital products, and explore/pilot digital solutions to improve workflow efficiency and internal collaboration. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining internal knowledge management systems, conducting research on digital trends, retrieving and analyzing data, and supporting project implementation and reporting processes. The role involves liaising with stakeholders, organizing meetings and workshops, ensuring proper documentation, and providing guidance to colleagues on digital tools.

Work Experience

Experience supporting digital tools, platforms, or systems for programme implementation, reporting, or knowledge management is advantageous. Experience assisting with the design, testing, or rollout of digital products like chatbots, mobile applications, or dashboards is beneficial. Experience in data visualization, research, coordination with diverse teams, and supporting projects within international organizations or NGOs is also an advantage.

Skills

Proficiency in digital innovation concepts and their application to programme support and migration programming. Ability to translate operational needs into practical digital solutions. Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Familiarity with collaborative digital workspaces, databases, and knowledge management systems. Ability to support digital product development and testing. Strong coordination skills with diverse stakeholders. Awareness of responsible data handling and ethical digital technology application is desirable.
