Project Associate
Organizational Context

This Project Associate role is based in Vilnius, Lithuania, and reports to the Head of Office and Head of Unit.
Job Purpose
The Project Associate will provide crucial support in the coordination and implementation of the 'Right Care' project, which focuses on embedding a child rights perspective within national psychosocial support systems for migrant children. This role is integral to ensuring the project's activities are carried out effectively and efficiently, contributing to IOM's mission of supporting vulnerable populations. The associate will assist in managing project data, documentation, and communication, ensuring smooth operations and timely reporting to stakeholders. Their work directly supports the project's objectives and IOM's broader mandate in assisting people on the move.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include assisting in the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of project activities according to work plans. The role involves supporting the collection, compilation, and basic analysis of project data, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The Project Associate will help prepare and update project documents, including work plans, monitoring tools, and reports. They will also assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events, providing logistical support and drafting minutes. Communication and dissemination activities, liaison with partners, drafting routine correspondence, and performing duty travel are also part of the role. Other related duties as assigned will be undertaken.
Work Experience
Required experience includes project support, coordination, and implementation. Experience liaising with governmental authorities, national institutions, and NGOs is necessary. The role also requires experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, and victims of trafficking. Experience in administrative coordination of projects related to child protection and psychosocial support is beneficial. Prior experience in a multicultural setting with international organizations is an advantage.
Skills
Strong work ethics, interpersonal, and communication skills in a multicultural setting. Good organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to work in dynamic circumstances. Excellent command of office tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, shared drives, and Adobe Acrobat.
