Job Purpose
The Project Assistant (Reintegration) provides essential administrative support for the implementation of reintegration activities within IOM Türkiye's Protection Unit. Working under the supervision of the Program Officer and Senior Project Associate, this role is crucial for the effective delivery of reintegration assistance. The incumbent will coordinate with case workers and other units to ensure smooth project operations, manage case data, and support administrative processes. This position contributes directly to IOM's mission of assisting migrants and displaced persons by facilitating their successful reintegration into communities.
Responsibilities
Assist in project implementation and monitoring, including operating a beneficiary hotline and registering cases using the MiMOSA system. Compile, summarize, and present project data, maintaining records of ongoing and closed cases. Monitor project budgets, verify fund availability, and obtain necessary approvals. Provide administrative coordination for project activities, liaising with internal and external parties to process administrative actions and administer reintegration assistance. Draft status reports, identifying delivery shortfalls. Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing notes, and other documentation. Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions. Respond to general inquiries and maintain project files. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Experience liaising with governmental authorities, international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs. Experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, and victims of trafficking. Prior experience in a multicultural setting with international humanitarian organizations is advantageous. Familiarity with case management environments and strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required. Computer literacy is essential.
Skills
In-depth knowledge of migration-related subject areas. Understanding of UN and bilateral donor programming. Familiarity with financial rules and regulations. Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) is also noted.
