Job Purpose

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include facilitating the refugee resettlement program in the Republic of Korea, encompassing caseload management, donor negotiation on program targets, and coordination with Regional Hub and Country Offices. The role involves implementing institutional standard operating procedures and project reporting. Support for movement assistance activities, including transit, departure, and arrival coordination, ensuring compliance with IOM standards and dignified assistance, is essential. This includes reviewing agreements with airport service providers and monitoring movement operations. Upholding Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards and IOM's Standards of Conduct, including preventing sexual exploitation and abuse, is critical, with a duty to report any non-compliance. The position requires managing internal and external communications for Resettlement and Movement Management (RMM), updating movement figures, and addressing ad-hoc movement needs. Liaison with the ROK government for visa application centers and with the Ministry of Justice for engagement with the ANDEX network is also required. Drafting donor and internal reports, managing project amendments, contributing to partnerships with government bodies and civil society, and assisting vulnerable migrants are also key duties. The role may also involve promoting IOM's expertise in border management and performing other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Required experience includes project support, management, development, implementation, and evaluation. Demonstrated experience in liaison with donors and government counterparts is essential. Strong knowledge of reporting for various stakeholders, donors, and project partners is necessary. Experience working within international, non-governmental, or governmental organizations is desirable.
Skills
Essential skills include familiarity with humanitarian assistance, international development, and migration issues. Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory, with knowledge of electronic tools like SAP being an advantage. Fluency in English and Korean (oral and written) is also required.
