Job Purpose
The Project Assistant (Case Management) supports IOM Norway's Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) program, a key area of IOM expertise. The position involves providing comprehensive assistance, including counselling, travel document support, and coordinating departure, transit, and arrival services. Responsibilities
The Project Assistant (Case Management) will provide administrative support for the Voluntary Assisted Return Programme (VARP) in Norway, ensuring compliance with procedures and MiMOSA requirements. Key duties include processing AVRR cases, managing incomplete information, arranging travel, and liaising with IOM missions for reintegration support. The role involves providing information on AVRR services to returnees, assisting them in obtaining necessary travel documents, and supporting outreach activities. Responsibilities also include responding to inquiries, verifying MiMOSA entries, assisting with airport departures, and maintaining AVRR files and data. The assistant will perform other assigned duties as needed.
Work Experience
Experience working with vulnerable groups such as migrants, refugees, and victims of trafficking is required. Additionally, experience in liaising with governmental authorities, international institutions, UN agencies, and NGOs is necessary. Prior experience within international organizations or governmental institutions in a multicultural setting is considered an advantage.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Self-motivated with an objective-driven approach.
