Responsibilities
The Media and Communications Assistant will be responsible for producing professional photography and videography, including editing, post-production, and ensuring proper IOM branding and crediting. This involves planning and supporting video production for mini-documentaries, journalistic reports, and human-interest stories. The role also entails designing graphics for social media, press releases, reports, and various visibility materials such as posters, flyers, and banners. Key duties include assisting in planning, designing, and posting content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), applying relevant hashtags, keywords, and SEO best practices. The assistant will maintain and update IOM's website by drafting, formatting, translating, and uploading content. Furthermore, the role involves collecting and analyzing social media metrics to gauge reach and engagement, compiling data on communication activities, and preparing basic performance reports. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the layout design, compilation, and editing of reports, human-interest stories, newsletters, and briefing notes.
