Job Purpose
The Internship Programme aims to attract talented students and graduates interested in migration-related fields. Interns will gain practical experience within an international organization, contributing to IOM's mission. This role provides an opportunity to develop skills in communication, project support, and understanding of migration issues within a multicultural environment. The program is designed for individuals enrolled in their final year of university or recently graduated, with a specific interest in IOM's work and a desire to contribute to its objectives.
Responsibilities
Assist in designing and producing communication materials, particularly those concerning the protection and rights of migrant workers. Support the creation, updating, and organization of content for IOM Chile's website and social media, including basic photo and video editing. Help implement, monitor, and evaluate digital communication campaigns. Coordinate with vendors for material production and translation. Participate in community outreach and awareness activities to promote safe migration. Support program visibility through event coverage and media coordination. Contribute to developing communication products that inform audiences about key migration issues. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Work Experience
Demonstrated interest in communication, social media, migration topics, or public information. Experience in digital content creation (graphic design, photography, videography, audiovisual editing). Familiarity with online communication, social media management, and basic analytics is also beneficial.
Skills
Excellent oral and written communication, drafting, editing, and reporting skills. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, PremierePro) and Microsoft Office 365. Knowledge of design principles. Creativity, attention to detail, and openness to feedback. Strong interpersonal skills for multicultural teamwork. Willingness to learn new tools and enhance communication skills.
