Job Purpose
The Human Resources Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resource functions within IOM's Regional Office in Dakar. Responsibilities
The HR Associate is responsible for assisting in the coordination of recruitment processes, including vacancy posting, screening, and interview support. They manage pre-employment activities, such as preparing documentation for entry on duty, coordinating medical exams, and facilitating induction sessions. The role involves performing and maintaining data in the organizational HR system, ensuring accuracy and consistency for personnel actions and entitlements. Additionally, the associate acts as a Timekeeper, managing leave records and generating reports. They prepare documentation for various HR actions like separations and promotions, and maintain systematic archiving of HR documents. Compliance with performance evaluation processes is monitored, and HR events and training activities are organized. The associate also provides information to staff on entitlements and responsibilities, and assists in resolving HR-related issues.
Work Experience
Required experience includes proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Previous experience with SAP is a distinct advantage. Candidates should possess attention to detail, methodical organizational skills, discretion, and a client-oriented approach. Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations or in a multi-cultural setting is considered an advantage.
