Monitoring compliance with financial policies, consolidating data for financial statements, and assisting with bank reconciliations are also crucial. Additionally, the Senior Finance Associate will support and review payroll processes, verify vendor claims, and coordinate with regional and global IOM offices on financial matters.
Work Experience
Experience in accounting or finance is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is necessary. Previous experience with Oracle and SAP systems is a distinct advantage. Experience working with UN, international agencies, or governmental/non-governmental organizations in a multicultural setting is also beneficial.
Skills
In-depth knowledge of migration-related subject areas, UN and bilateral donor programming, financial rules and regulations, and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS). Skills include attention to detail, methodical organization, discretion, client orientation, patience, and a willingness to learn.
