Job Purpose
This consultancy supports the implementation of a comprehensive baseline assessment on ethical recruitment and employment practices for immigrants in Georgia, as part of the REforM project. The role involves providing analytical, technical, and coordination support to an international consultant. The assessment will identify challenges, good practices, and regulatory gaps to inform the development of ethical recruitment standards, guidance materials, and awareness initiatives, ultimately strengthening migrant protection and enhancing migration governance in Georgia.
Responsibilities
The consultant will conduct a desk review of the legal and policy framework governing immigrant recruitment and employment in Georgia, and map key stakeholders. They will contribute to the assessment methodology and work plan, and facilitate data collection activities such as surveys and interviews. Responsibilities include supporting stakeholder consultations, examining information accessibility for immigrants regarding their rights, and identifying gaps and opportunities for ethical recruitment. The consultant will also provide analytical input for recommendations, prepare documentation, and contribute to drafting and finalizing the baseline assessment report.
Work Experience
Proven professional experience in research, assessments, policy analysis, or program implementation related to migration, labour migration, employment, human rights, or social inclusion is required. Demonstrated experience in research methodologies and working with relevant stakeholders in Georgia is essential.
Skills
Excellent analytical and report-writing skills. Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Good understanding of the Georgian legal, policy, and institutional framework related to migration and labour. Fluency in Georgian and English.
