Job Purpose
The Senior Information Management Associate is responsible for supervising and coordinating the Information Management Team. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective use of IOM's corporate migrant applications, maintaining high data quality standards, and contributing to efficient business processes. The position directly supports migrant operational assistance and services by managing information systems and data integrity. The associate will work under the overall supervision of the Resource Management Officer in Germany and the direct supervision of the National ICT Officer, playing a key part in the mission's operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
Supervise and administer subordinate staff, including performance evaluation and guidance. Manage team financial resources and coordinate deployment. Support data management and reporting activities, including compilation, cleaning, and analysis of operational and AVRR statistical information. Maintain data quality and integrity in IOM's electronic applications, coordinating corrections with operational staff. Assist in business analysis by collecting input from operational units and documenting requirements. Support system enhancement activities by gathering user feedback, documenting issues, and contributing to process improvements. Provide guidance on system use, business processes, and standard operating procedures. Support local configuration and adjustments of IOM corporate migrant applications. Assist operational staff in resolving application issues and escalate complex problems as needed. Perform other duties as required.
Work Experience
Prior experience in information management, data management, business analysis, or system support is required. Experience supporting Enterprise-Resource-Planning (ERP) systems or other corporate applications, including user support and process implementation, is beneficial. Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and coordinating information management activities is also required. Experience with international humanitarian organizations in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work discreetly, with a client-oriented approach, patience, and a willingness to learn.
