Job Purpose
The Senior ICT Associate (System) provides essential technical support for IOM South Sudan's information management tools and technology infrastructure, including sub-offices. Reporting to the Information Management and Technology Officer, this role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of the mission's ICT systems. The incumbent will manage system infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and orient users, directly contributing to the mission's operational efficiency and the effective delivery of IOM's services.
Responsibilities
Provide daily support for ICT systems, including servers, workstations, and printers, ensuring availability, reliability, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues for users of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, and corporate applications. Manage and maintain local Microsoft Windows servers, print services, and Active Directory. Administer user accounts and supervise junior ICT staff, providing technical guidance and training. Proactively identify and recommend system upgrades, manage helpdesk queries, and ensure proper installation of hardware and software in sub-offices. Maintain ICT inventory, manage data protection backups, and liaise with service providers for ICT equipment and services, ensuring compliance with IOM standards and policies.
Work Experience
Requires strong experience in ICT support and administration, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and cloud services. Proficient in remote support, software installation, patching, and troubleshooting hardware. Experience with Identity Access Management, ticketing systems, and working in an international organization is essential.
Skills
In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, Windows Infrastructure, Active Directory, and Azure AD. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and collaboration tools. Effective problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and knowledge of ICT support using ticketing systems.
