Job Purpose
The Senior Project Assistant will provide crucial support to IOM's initiatives aimed at facilitating the socioeconomic integration of migrants in Brazil. This involves coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including private sector entities, civil society, government, and academic institutions. The role is instrumental in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects designed to help migrants access the formal labor market. By organizing capacity-building activities, promoting events, and maintaining dialogue with partners, the assistant directly contributes to enhancing migrants' livelihoods and their successful integration into Brazilian society, while also ensuring administrative and logistical support for project activities.
Responsibilities
Provide assistance and support for coordination with private sector entities, civil society, government, and academic institutions to facilitate program/project development, implementation, and monitoring. Engage in outreach activities and promote events with these stakeholders. Organize and encourage capacity-building and training sessions, particularly with the private sector. Facilitate meetings and dialogues with partners to support the socioeconomic integration of migrants and their entry into the formal labor market. Support the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of program/project aspects. Offer administrative support, including tracking follow-up actions, travel arrangements, reporting, data collection, and procurement. Assist in planning, organizing, and managing logistics for events and activities. Support the monitoring of migrant integration and provide referrals to public services for migrants facing violence or human rights violations.
Work Experience
Experience with social and economic integration projects in partnership with government, civil society, UN, or private sector actors is required. Experience in dialogues with the private sector, including partnerships and continuous contact, is also necessary. Field experience related to migration and/or refugees is relevant.

Portuguese fluency (oral and written), advanced Spanish knowledge (oral and written), teamwork, delivering results, managing and sharing knowledge, accountability, communication, inclusion and respect for diversity, integrity and transparency, professionalism, courage, and empathy.
