Job Purpose
The Supply Chain Associate plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive procurement support to IOM missions worldwide and the Global Shared Service Centre. Responsibilities
The role involves planning and executing procurement actions for assigned projects, including reviewing requests, preparing tender documents, and posting solicitations. Responsibilities include compiling and presenting procurement data for reporting and monitoring, expediting technical evaluations, and analyzing offers to secure the best terms and lowest costs. The associate will draft and issue contracts, purchase orders, and amendments, manage post-award financial aspects, and resolve issues related to delivered goods or services. Maintaining procurement databases, tracking contractual agreements, and identifying new vendors are key duties. Additionally, the role serves as a liaison for procurement and ERP-related issues, supports the development of procurement guidelines, and assists with emergency procurement coordination.
Work Experience
Professional experience in procurement, administrative services, or a related area is required. Experience with an ERP system for purchasing or supply chain functions is desirable. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications (Word, Excel) is expected, with knowledge of PowerPoint and Visio being beneficial.
