Two Positions For Consultancy Service To Develop Migration Profile For The Kyrgyz Republic

Job Purpose
This consultancy aims to develop a comprehensive Migration Profile for the Kyrgyz Republic, contributing to the "Labour Migration Programme – Central Asia." The profile will support enhanced migration governance by providing data and analysis. The consultant will work closely with the Ministry of Labour, Social Provision and Migration (MLSPM) and IOM to ensure the profile meets established standards and is effectively disseminated. This initiative is crucial for evidence-based policymaking and effective migration management within the region, aligning with IOM's mandate to promote orderly migration for the benefit of all.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for developing a preliminary draft of the Migration Profile for the Kyrgyz Republic in English, adhering to IOM's guidelines. This deliverable is expected by July 31, 2026. Following the draft's completion, the consultant will present this preliminary draft to the Ministry of Labour, Social Provision and Migration (MLSPM) by August 25, 2026. Successful completion will be evaluated based on the submission and approval of the preliminary draft by both IOM and the MLSPM, ensuring the profile meets quality standards and stakeholder requirements.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in research is required, with a preference for experience focused on migration-related issues. Practical experience in developing comprehensive profiles or similar research projects is highly desirable.
Skills
Good knowledge of migration governance and related focus areas. Familiarity with IOM's mandate. Proficiency in oral and written English and Russian. Proficiency in Kyrgyz is also required. Good interpersonal skills, sound judgment, initiative, and creativity are essential.
