Organizational Context

Established in 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is a leading UN agency promoting humane and orderly migration. The organization works with partners to save lives, protect people on the move, and facilitate pathways for regular migration. This role sits within the Global Movement Systems Support Unit (GSSC), reporting to the Chief (GSSC) and Senior Movement Operations Manager (RMM HQ).

Job Purpose

The Senior Coordinator (Global Movement Systems) provides global functional leadership, operational coordination, and technical oversight for the Global Movement Systems Support Unit (GSSC). This role ensures consistency, compliance, and effective governance of movement systems and related financial workflows. The incumbent acts as the functional focal point for integrating movement systems with the WAVE ERP, supporting alignment between operational workflows and ERP functionalities. They are responsible for overseeing the Airline Invoice Settlement (AIS) framework, managing system administration, data quality, and reporting, and providing managerial oversight to specific sections within the unit. This position is crucial for enhancing automation, data integrity, and auditability within IOM's migration management systems.

Responsibilities

Provide global functional leadership and operational oversight for RMM proprietary systems (ATOMS and WAVE PO Management), ensuring consistent application of SOPs and reporting standards. Act as the functional focal point for integrating movement systems with WAVE ERP, coordinating with GSSC Finance and ICT teams. Analyze and propose RMM-specific functional adjustments to business processes for enhanced automation and data integrity. Provide technical leadership for the Airline Invoice Settlement (AIS) framework, ensuring effective interoperability and timely invoice processing. Support operational risk monitoring related to airline invoicing and coordinate the resolution of invoice discrepancies. Prepare GMSS-related reporting and analytics for stakeholders. Oversee the administration, performance monitoring, and functional integrity of ATOMS and related RMM systems. Coordinate system testing, releases, and enhancements. Establish and maintain an institutional knowledge management framework, including SOPs and user guides. Support quality assurance and the analytical use of movement-related operational data. Provide managerial oversight of AIS, DMS, and MSS sections in Manila, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. Coordinate with country offices for training initiatives and support change-management strategies for movement systems.

Work Experience

Minimum of seven years of progressive professional experience in systems support, business process management, or operational data environments, including staff supervision or team coordination. Proven experience in movement operations, understanding of movement workflows, and application of SOPs. Demonstrated understanding of the interaction between movement operations, systems, and financial processes, particularly airline invoicing and settlements. Experience with ERP-enabled workflows and business application governance is required. Mimosa proficiency is also necessary.

Proficiency in Mimosa and other RMM proprietary tools. Ability to translate business requirements into functional system solutions. Understanding of airline invoicing processes and compliance frameworks. Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret operational and financial data. Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with ERP platforms (e.g., WAVE), Power BI, and UN/international organization frameworks.
